Stages of Evolution

Pokemons can be classified based on their evolutionary stage. Any Pokemon falls under the category of these four stages. Baby Pokemon, unevolved Pokemon, Stage 1 Pokemon, Stage 2 Pokemon.

One evolution Family

Pokemons in this generation have only one evolutionary stage. One third of of all Pokemon belong to this family. They are usually considered weaker than Two Evolution Families.

Two EVOLUTION FAMILY

This is the most common type of Pokemon Families. Most powerful Pokemons come from this Family. The Starter Pokemons of all generations belong to this family. Pseudo Legendary Pokemons also belong to this Generation. They are very powerful Pokemon that their power level match close to Legendary Pokemon.

Pokemon with no evolution

Some Pokemons have no evolution. These are the least type of Pokemon. There is a common misconception that Pokemon with no evolution are weak. That is wrong. Pokemon like Heracross and Skarmory are notably strong. Legendary and Mythical Pokemon come under this category.

Evolution by level

Evolution by Trading Items

Evolution by condition

Some Pokemons evolve based on conditions like gender, location, learning a type of attack or time of day. After reaching that required condition, leveling up once will evolve them.
